LARRY NIEHUES: MISSISSIPPI DREAM

Mississippi Dream is Larry Niehues’ second project following Nothing Has Changed, his ‘Love Letter to America’.

In this passionate exploration inside the culture of the Deep South, Niehues captures sides of Mississippi far beyond landscapes and blue skies. It’s important to mention that all subjects and photos were taken throughout different seasons of 2020 & 2022 while being confronted with a pandemic and also an important flooding that affected the Mississippi area.

The photographs tell a story that feels both nostalgic and almost surreal and is sure to inspire a deep sense of what life is like in the Magnolia State.
